    Luis Huertas is a 2010 OF/1B with a 6'2', 195 lb. frame from Miramar, FL who attends Highlands Christian. Tall athletic build, fast-twitch athlete, 6.91 sixty, outfield velocity 91, shows good bat speed, stays inside the ball well, hand and wrists work well, swung it well during games, raw power will come around with added strength, loose easy arm action in the field, smooth actions, online throws, plus arm strength, strong student.

  • 2009 Baseball Factory PreSeason All-American:
    1/16/2009 - Under Armour Preseason All America - 2009 Luis continues to show steady improve and solid play in his baseball abilities. Foot speed is a plus and he utilizes his quick, athletic feet in tracking down balls in the OF. Arm strength is well above average displaying life, carry, and accuracy through a quick release. At the plate, Huertas continues to show plus bat speed and a solid feel for the barrel. Luis has the makings to be a solid collegiate player and will get looks from the college coaches.
    
    11/9/2008 - Under Armour National Tryout - Miami Nov PM Luis is a tall lean player with potential at two positions at the next level. From the infield, Luis shows well above average arm strength with soft hands and the ability to turn the double play efficiently. From the outfield, Luis has range as his 60-time indicates. He has an accurate arm and he gets rid of the ball quickly. Everything works well from the outfield. At the plate, Luis can flat out hit. He crushes balls to the gaps with backspin and power. He gets everything he can out of his swing. Luis has it all and he is still so young.
