- As a father of three boys and President of Piedmont Baseball I have the privilege of watching many baseball games every year. In addition, I also have the honor of coaching many young men at H.B. DuPont Middle School and Piedmont Travel Teams. Kyle Baker is a young man with incredible talent. I am always cautious about not over praising a young man’s talents. In the case of this young man, there is no need to be cautious. Kyle’s talents are immense and his potential is unlimited. With Kyle Baker, this young man is probably the closest to a five tool player that has come from this area in many years. For his age, Kyle demonstrates a clear domination of 4 of the 5 tools; running speed, arm strength, hitting for average & fielding. As this young man matures into his frame he will find himself on the brink of achieving 5 Tool Status as he adds Hitting for Power to his resume. I have had the distinct pleasure of coaching Kyle Baker while he attended H.B. DuPont Middle School. Not only are his baseball skills a pleasure to witness and coach. His attitude, work ethic, and respect for the game of baseball are exemplary. I would challenge anyone that there is no finer young man in youth baseball today.I will conclude with one personal story to highlight Kyle as a person and baseball player. My oldest son played baseball with Kyle at H.B. DuPont during what was a great championship season. My son is one year younger than Kyle. When we have time alone and we reflect on his baseball skills and demeanor, we always refer back to how Kyle Baker plays the game of baseball. My son has seen it first-hand what a talented and gifted baseball player who has the utmost respect for the game, coaches and teammates is. He looks to Kyle as a true role model and I have am proud of him for identifying someone like Kyle to emulate. If needed, I would always be willing to speak about Kyle in person. He is really what baseball is all about.

- "I had the opportunity to coach Kyle for the past three years and was able to witness tremendous growth both as a player and a person. Kyle posseses the physical tools necessary to succeed at the next level, specifically above average bat speed and arm strength, as well as, very good speed and quickness. Kyle also is very eager to learn and receptive to instruction. He would be a great asset to any program."

- Having had the opportunity to coach Kyle during the past few years and having a son of my own(as well as more than a dozen of his past summer ball teammates) that recently signed to play D1 Baseball I am certain Kyle is a player college baseball coaches would love to have in their program. He has the work ethic on and off the field as well as in the classroom that is required now and at the college level. He has the tools that will definitely "play" at the college level. Although he has a very good arm and defensive skills I see his "overall bat" , his "speed" on the bases and field as a "plus" and well advanced. He is an exciting player to have in the line-up as his intangibles(knowledge of the game defensively and on the base paths) are excellent. As a coach I love players that love to "make things happen" and Kyle is that kind of ball player. He will surely be a great fit for many D1 college baseball programs.

- Kyle Baker is one of the rare players today that is determined to be great regardless of how much work it takes. I have worked with thousands of players, and with Kyle for nearly two years. Kyle continues to out work his peers and climb to higher levels with his play. I have a very simple philosophy with coaching young players. They have to have Desire, Technique, and Ability to be special. Kyle has a great deal of ability and desire, burner speed, and continues to perfect his technique. It's my belief, with continued work, that Kyle should land in a D1 outfield somewhere. His upside is great, as he continues to get bigger, stronger, and faster and continues to work to perfect his techniques both offensively and defensively.
